About me
I'm a software engineer who likes problems with real consequences — systems where correctness, throughput and maintainability all matter at once. Over a decade of that has taken me through trade settlement, high-frequency trading, automated warehouses, ecommerce modernisation, data platform tooling and, now, financial crime.
I lean functional: immutable designs, hexagonal architecture, and tests that describe behaviour rather than implementation. I care as much about the teams as the code, and spend a good share of my time mentoring and setting up the practices that let other engineers move quickly without breaking things.
Away from work I'm a father of three, a Bachata dancer, and an incurable home-automation tinkerer — several of the Home Assistant integrations below started as something I needed in my own house.
